Commissioning with Home Assistant

Step 1: Prepare Home Assistant

Ensure your Home Assistant device (Green/Yellow/Pi+SkyConnect) is set up and connected to your network.

Access Settings

Navigate to “Settings” in the bottom left menu, then select “Devices & Services”

Step 2: Install Matter Integration

Add Integration

Click the blue ”+ Add integration” button and search for and install Matter if not already present. (The integration is no longer in beta as of Home Assistant 2023.x.)

Step 3: Add Your Device

Open Device Scanner

Navigate to “Devices” at the bottom of the navigation bar, then select ”+ Add device” → “Add Matter device”.

Position Your Phone

Keep your smartphone as close to the light fixture as possible for optimal connection.

Scan Matter QR Code

The camera will open automatically. Scan the included Matter QR code from your Prolicht packaging.

Confirm on iOS (if applicable)

If using an iPhone or iPad, confirm that you want to add the light to Home Assistant when prompted.

Wait for Connection (2–3 minutes)

Your light will integrate automatically. Once it appears in Home Assistant, you can control it and add it to scenes or automations.
